The project “Women and Girls at the Heart of the Development of South Kivu” is a transformative initiative designed to uplift and empower vulnerable women and girls in South Kivu Province. This 12-month project addresses urgent challenges such as early marriage, lack of vocational skills, and limited economic opportunities for women—focusing on community based, sustainable solutions.

Community Awareness Sessions: Engaging traditional leaders, parents, and youth in dialogue to challenge norms around early marriage.
Safe Spaces for Girls: Creating supportive environments for girls to continue their education and access counseling services.
Professional Skills Training: Equipping 50 women with practical skills in tailoring, hairdressing, agriculture, and small business management
Entrepreneurship Support: Providing starter kits and micro-grants to help women launch income-generating activities
Monitoring and Support: Ongoing mentoring, follow-ups, and peer-to-peer support networks
100 girls enrolled in protective programs and continuing their education.
50 womenreceived intensive vocational training, with over 60% already starting small businesses.
